DeWalt Bare Tools and Batteries: Over 25 Cordless Tools

What’s a bare tool?

You have the option to purchase DeWalt cordless tools just the way DeWalt made ‘em, stripped down to a tool only, without any accessories. What you get is the simply the tool – no case, no battery, no charger. Since the DeWalt 20V MAX* lithium ion battery powers DeWalt’s full line of 20V MAX tools, the batteries you already have for some of your other tools are interchangeable. A bare tool saves you some money, and you can power it up and put it to put it to work right away with a battery you already own.

Beyond the Basics

When you think tools, think beyond the basics. There are so many other useful DeWalt models that have interchangeable batteries. You could purchase an oscillating tool (DCS356B) and a jig saw (DCS334B) to your home tool box, and use the same battery. Pick up the air inflator (DCC020IB) and 20V LED task light (DCL077B) and add them to your home or camping gear. The air inflator can use one of 3 different power sources – the 20V MAX battery, 12V DC, or 110V AC. It will inflate anything from a tire to a football, a bike tire to an air mattress. Move the hose to the deflation port for quick take down. The LED light is great for use on the job, at home, or when camping or hunting.

Other bare tools have more specialized uses, such as the rotary or Flexvolt hammer drill (DCH273B or DCD999B) which delivers impact energy, the framing or finish nailers (DCN692B or DCN662B), the router or planer (DCW600B, DCP580B). Dewalt’s 20V MAX batteries work with all of those tools and are lightweight and powerful, so you can use a tool for longer periods between charges. The light weight helps to reduce user fatigue, and the 20V MAX battery provides up to 10 amps of capacity, and charges in less than an hour, to keep you powering through your work.

Take a look at all of Dewalt tools and mix and match to fill any gaps in your toolbox. Add the bonus battery starter kit, and you’ll be fully equipped for any job that comes your way.
