One year everyone is installing brass hardware, a few years later it’s all about nickel, and soon chrome is the new star.
For the past few years, one of the most popular kitchen design trends has been open shelving. With open kitchen shelving, dishes and serving pieces come out from behind closed cabinet doors and are showcased artfully, like items on a bookshelf.
Kitchen & bath designer Mikayla Valois of Riverhead Building Supply knew this coastal kitchen design was going to be a fun project as soon as she stepped into the client’s home to measure. Her eye was immediately drawn to the most incredible chairs at the dining table. “They were fun, funky, and colorful,” says Mikayla.
For this space, the client wanted a crossover look that would showcase her attraction to traditional elements but would also complement her eclectic flare. The Riverhead Building Supply Kitchen Design team recommended Tedd Wood Cabinetry’s semi-custom line, Landmark for this urban kitchen design.
