Relaxed and rugged rustic kitchen designs
Stylishly rugged rustic kitchens are reminiscent of a mountain retreat. They are perfectly imperfect, typically featuring cabinets in weathered and distressed finishes, reclaimed wood furniture, ceiling beams, copper and wrought iron accents, and a neutral or earth tone color palette. Rustic kitchens have a warm, lived-in look, while providing ample space for appliances, food prep, storage, and entertaining.

Riverhead Building Supply helped breathe new life into a classic 1833 home by designing a kitchen that blends rustic elements with modern functionality.
Tedd Wood Fine Cabinetry in Rift & Quartered White Oak was used for the main kitchen cabinetry and was wire brushed to give it a weathered look. It was then finished with a light cerusing to reveal the wood’s natural beauty. The island, made with heavily distressed Rustic Cherry Wood, is an inviting space and an eye-catching backdrop against the white oak cabinetry. With exposed brick and beams, exquisite cabinetry and a farm sink, this kitchen fit the homeowner’s lifestyle and their desire to showcase the beautiful bones of the Italianate style home.
